I know I'm a month late for this particular rant but give me a break I just started this blog!
Anyhoo....
I was soo excited when I saw Grace Kelly on the cover of April's Vanity Fair. I got two copies, one for moi and one for my mother, who is responsible for starting my teeny obsession with the queen of class. There are a million reasons why you should learn to love Grace Kelly if you don't already.
Perhaps the number one reason is that she was born an underdog. Her whole family was made up of Olympic Champions who could never quite make sense of Grace's inability to do well in any sort of athletic or outdoor activity. She was an awkward misfit. Well, the ugly duckling turned into a swan, and not only did she grow up to be both a movie star and the princess of Monaco, but she did it with class and modesty.
As I was eagerly searching through the magazine for my favorite platinum blonde I came across something that at first puzzled me and then almost made me hurl directly onto the magazine. (I didn't say I was classy ;) )
Since Tiger Woods' "sex addiction" and marital problems began making headlines after Thanksgiving it seems as if dozens of women have come out to say they have spent the night with the golfer.
Vanity Fair took glamorous photos of these women and wrote an entire article about them right before their piece on Grace Kelly. I shut the magazine after reading one of his mistress' statements which explained that he liked sex with her "because it wasn't like boring married people sex."
Wow.
Really Vanity Fair? If I had wanted to read trash like that I would have bought The Enquirer or Star Magazine. If Grace Kelly was still alive today and she knew you were going to put that in April's issue, she would have refused to be in your magazine. Because she, unlike you, had CLASS.
